Guide to Install Your Wall Fountain

A wall fountain is an excellent piece to bring the soothing sounds of water into your home, and can even be incorporated into a Feng Shui design. To properly install your wall fountain, you need to follow a few basic steps.

Walls

The wall that you are going to install your wall fountain on should be sound. Ideally, you will want to install the fountain using the studs in the wall, which are typically found every two feet. Sheetrock alone may not hold the weight of the fountain, plus the water that the fountain is intended to hold.

You will also want to choose an area in your home with access to a wall socket that is appropriate for the fountain. Since you are combining electricity with water, take precautions and avoid using extension cords.

Setting Up

Next, assemble the tools that you will need according to the directions that came with your wall fountain. In most cases, you will need a level, hammer, drill and screwdrivers. Use the level to help you mark out where you want to install the fountain and then double check the fountain once it has been installed to make sure it is level.

Finishing Up

The last step to installing your wall fountain is to connect the tubing that will pump the water through the system, and to make sure that the fountain doesn’t leak. Fill the fountain with water, and then carefully inspect the entire fixture. If you do see a leak, then use a caulk or sealant to repair the leaks.
