Painting Your Kitchen Cabinet to Revibe it
Are you bored of your old kitchen cabinet. There’s no need to change it, you can always give it a new look by painting it. Painting kitchen cabinets brings all cabinet back to life. But when it comes to choosing a color I would recomend to use a light colour, which is in contrast with the wall colour. Before painting you should first remove the cabinet doors and all the cabinet hardwares, taking them off makes your cabinet easy to clean and paint. Once all of them is removed, clean the cabinet and doors with soap-water using a sponge and the wipe it with a dry cloth. Before painting you need to remove the glossyness with the help of a liquid deglosser, so that the paint becomes persistent on the surface. Once the cabinet is all wrapped up now its time to apply the primer, I would suggest oil based primer rather than latex ones. Take a clean brush and apply the primer inside-out, give a final touch with a one sided strikes so that the primer is evenly applied. Let the primer dry before starting to paint, after it is dry take a new brush and paint it in similar fashion you did with the primer. Use oil based paint for more durability, and after the paint is dry you can put the hardware back to their position and place the cabinet door on the wall.
Still if you are not satisfied you can also add a ligth shade on the grooves if you have any, simultaneously you can also apply some stencil pattern which we have previously discussed here. Finally what do you think are you able to bring those old cabinets back to life, I think they look pretty good!
